Delicious wines have been produced in the hills of Groesbeek since 2006. After discovering that the soil in this historic village is ideal for growing grapes, six local entrepreneurs set to work to produce the tastiest white, red and rosé wines, and both the reds and the whites have regularly won international awards. You can sample the wines for yourself; some vineyards are open to the public without restriction and others are only open at certain times. The green woodland surroundings of the village also provide a great backdrop for walking and cycling, so why not visit the vineyards and wineries while enjoying the splendid local countryside. There’s even a special wine route (30km) to help you explore the area in and around the wine village of Groesbeek.
