Hernen Castle

Hernen Castle (Kasteel Hernen) is a moated medieval fortress featuring unique covered parapets and situated in a varied landscape of avenues, woods and meadows. The castle is famous not only for its authentic medieval exterior, but also because the television series Floris was filmed there.

Reservation required
To spread crowds and ensure the safety of visitors and employees, everyone must reserve a date and time slot in advance. This also applies to visitors with a donation pass, Museum card or other valid admission ticket. Reservations can be made via https://tickets.glk.nl/nl/hernen/tickets

From 2015, the empty castle will gradually be filled again as part of the 'Hernen1544' project. See our website for more information.
