Ooijpolder
You have to be careful here. Wild horses, beavers, big geese, galloway cattle.... they graze here in the Ooijpolder. It is a beautiful area in the floodplains of the river Waal. It is an important part of National Landscape De Gelderse Poort and is characterized by a vast polder landscape with here and there a village or farm.
Walk through the beautiful river nature and enjoy the flora and fauna. There is also a large walking area with a beautiful watchtower. Walk to the West and suddenly you are on the lively Waalkade in Nijmegen.
